Who is Bee?
For a long time I made someone else my north star. I put my goals, my joy, and my future on hold, including educational goals that never quite made it off the ground because there was always too much friction to push through. While I own that choice completely, I know now that my life has to be rooted in me. In becoming healthier, more grounded, more peaceful, and more fully myself.
After my divorce I decided one thing: I would not stop living. I started taking myself to concerts, wrestling events, dinners, road trips, and little adventures across Texas. No permission. No timing. No waiting for someone to come with me. I called it letting the wind take me somewhere.
One of the biggest decisions I made was choosing bariatric surgery. I had my surgery in November 2025 after years of preparing mentally, physically, and emotionally. It was not the easy way out. It was me finally choosing myself.
BeeYouXOXO is where I document all of it in real time. Not as someone who has it figured out, but as someone who keeps showing up anyway. The concerts, the lifestyle changes, Oliver, the creativity, the hard days, the small wins, and the ongoing process of building a life that actually feels like mine.

BeeYouXOXO is where I write about life in my 40s as a first-gen Mexican American. Music, bariatric life, creativity, cozy living, everyday adventures across Texas, and moments with my dog Oliver. Part lifestyle diary, part creative outlet, part real-time documentation of what it actually looks like to keep evolving.
At its heart this blog is about living more intentionally and finding joy in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. If you are learning how to romanticize your life a little more, take up space, try new things, or simply become more present in your own story, you are in the right place.
